1. Who we are

InsertBase (insertbase.com) is an independent information site that publishes reference data for indexable cutting inserts. The site operator is identified in the footer of every page. For any privacy question, email [email protected].

2. What we collect

• Server logs — IP address, requested URL, user agent and timestamp, retained by our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) for security and abuse prevention. We do not link these to individuals.
• Inquiry form submissions — when you request a verified specification or sourcing, we receive the name, email, insert code, workpiece material and message you typed. This is sent through Formspree and stored in their inbox only for the purpose of replying.
• Corrections — emails about data errors retain whatever you choose to send.

We do not run advertising networks, sell data, or embed third-party trackers that profile you across the web.

3. How we use it

• To answer your inquiry with the verified specification and equivalent options, usually within one business day.
• To fix or annotate the cited data on the affected model page when you report an error.
• To keep aggregate, non-identifying traffic statistics so we can prioritise which insert series to cover next.

4. Legal basis and transfers

Inquiry messages are processed on the basis of the consent you give by submitting the form. Server logs are processed for the legitimate interest of keeping the site available and defended from abuse. Formspree and Cloudflare process data in the United States and other regions; by submitting an inquiry you consent to this transfer. You can request deletion of your inquiry at any time by emailing [email protected].

5. Retention

• Inquiry threads are deleted from the operator's inbox no later than 24 months after the last reply, unless you ask us to keep the thread for a future order.
• Server logs are rotated by the hosting provider according to its default schedule.

6. Your choices

• You can browse the entire reference database without submitting any personal data.
• You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any inquiry you sent, by emailing [email protected].
• You can use a temporary email address when filling the inquiry form; we will reply to whatever address you provide.

7. Children

The site is intended for engineers and procurement professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a minor submitted an inquiry, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes

Material changes to this policy will be dated at the top of the page. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.
